Brett Favre is admired across sports for his passion and instincts to play the game of football as if it was his last opportunity. I wanted to capture in this painting the spontaneous action and decision-making he brought to the game. I focused on an inflection moment as he looks downfield to make a decision in seconds on what to do next. I emphasized a yellow hue of the team's colors in the color palette throughout the painting. His focus and intensity was especially important in his facial expression. I also used bright intense colors to bring the contrast of a sunny day shinning upon him.
