In this painting, I wished to illustrate the magical moment of Alex Rodriguez hitting what is surely another home run. I emphasized the power of his swing and follow-through with the background air following his swing in an expressionistic emphasis. I chose a simplifying color scheme of yellow, greens and gold hues to highlight the subject. His focus and intense expression seems oblivious to the the excitement and swirl around him.

Alex is widely regarded as the best all around baseball player of his generation. Although his career is still unwritten, some of his accomplishments would include:
